Analysis of Vision Training Effect according to MBTI Personality Type

Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose : Recently many studies have been introduced to increase the efficiency of work and education through individual differences in various fields. One of the things that represent this individual difference is personality. Therefore this study was studied to find out the improvement of binocular visual function according to personality using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality type test attempted for human understanding.
Methods : The MBTI personality type was classified for 41 adult men and women in their 20s, individual visual function training tools were selected, and the visual function test values were compared before and after visual function training.
Results : As a result of comparing the amount of binocular visual function change between the four MBTI temperaments through binocular vision function before and after vision training, there was a significant difference in the amount of FCC mean of variation. The mean of variation of FCC of the SP temperament was higher in the negative direction than the mean of variation of the FCC of the SJ temperament, and a statistically significant difference was shown (p<0.050).
As a result of comparing the amount of binocular visual function mean of variation between MBTI types before and after visual function training, the improvement of the T (Thinking) type was higher than that of the F (Feeling) type in the distance BO vergence’s Break and Recovery points, Vergence facility, and accommodation amplitude(p<0.050).
Conclusion : In the above conclusion, it was confirmed that there is a difference in the amount of visual functional training before and after visual functional training according to MBTI personality types, and through this, it is considered that the amount of visual functional training may vary depending on the personality type.
